IN-PERSON SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS

Currently, AGMD provides its official AGMD In-Person Digestive Motility Educational Support Group Meetings in Lexington, Massachusetts. 

Our meetings are typically held on a designated Saturday each month, from 12:00-1:30 pm at the Cary Memorial Library (in the Learning Center Meeting Room), 1874 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington.

These support group meetings are free to all attendees. You do not have to be a member of AGMD to attend. Pre-registration is required.

If you are suffering from a digestive motility disease or disorder, and live in Massachusetts or nearby areas, we encourage you to attend. It will be a wonderful way of meeting others who share the same problems, concerns and emotions regarding living with digestive motility diseases. It will also be a great way of obtaining support and information as well as making new friendships.

AGMD provides a unique setting where not only support will be provided, but specific educational topics will be presented by various guests as well. Some of the many topics that are continually covered include, coping, the emotional roller coaster, preparing for your doctor visit, finding reliable information, social issues, and coping with the holidays, etc. Topic suggestions are always welcome and encouraged.

Many patients feel very much alone when suffering from digestive motility diseases and disorders. The Association of Gastrointestinal Motility Disorders, Inc. understands what you are going through. We realize the impact that digestive motility diseases and disorders have on every aspect of the patient’s life. We also know the impact these digestive problems can have on the patient’s family as well. We are here to help you and your family. Our monthly Massachusetts AGMD Digestive Motility Educational/Support Group meetings are just one of the many ways in which we can serve you.

Digestive problems are often difficult to talk about in public. You may be reassured that our meetings take place in a compassionate, respectful and supportive environment.

You do not have to be an AGMD member to attend, however, membership is encouraged. We also welcome your tax-deductible donations.
